Rook & Fern began as more than a business — it was a turning point.

There came a time when life asked me to slow down and start again, to rebuild from the inside out. What began as uncertainty became clarity: that healing and growth are rarely linear, and that real change starts in the small, ordinary moments — the ones rooted in love, presence, and play.

Rook & Fern grew out of that realization. It’s a space shaped by my background in child and adolescent developmental psychology, my deep connection to families and educators, and the shared creative partnership between my husband, Richard, and me.

The Rook represents him — steady, loyal, protective.
The Fern represents me — intuitive, earthy, and ever-growing. Together, they remind us that strength and softness belong side by side.

Rook & Fern exists to help others rediscover that same balance — between chaos and calm, growth and rest, structure and surrender. It’s an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and grow something beautiful from wherever you are.
